I don't think I like anything she did from this point on, until she did Frozen.

No, I didn't, apart from Dear Jessie.

That was another decent episode, with highlights by Julian Cope, the Bangles and Paul Simon.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everyone else made of it.

The Bangles - Walk Like An Egyptian
Always reminds me of Chelmsford market, where I first heard it.
Nick Berry. At Number 4. Every Loser Wins.
Julian Cope - World, Shut Your Mouth.
Fine song. Just thinking about it brings back the memory of that foin coupe fragrance they put in spot cream.
The Police - in 1986!
highlights by Julian Cope, the Bangles and Paul Simon.

Who? Big Country? Was it Peter Powell who called them that by any chance?

Funny to think that right now we're witnessing his career beginning at Top of the Pops and his career ending at Radio 2. It was the same with Janice Long a year or two ago.

I remember being at primary school singing that in the playground. Me and other people were doing that stereotypical Egyptian arm movement thing.
Is one still allowed to do that?
In fact, the whole song is probably considered totally un-PC these days.

I don't think I'll ever be able to look at a young Nick Berry the same ever again.

"Eternal Flame - The Best Of The Bangles"?
I wonder if Nick Berry has a greatest hits called "Every Loser Wins - The Best Of Nick Berry".

In 1986!
Around this time Nik Kershaw was failing to reach the Top 40. 1986 was like a big wasteland for a lot of the acts from the early to mid 80s. Even Marilyn tried a comeback of sorts around this time with zero success.

My goodness, after a bit of research it turns out that the Howard Jones song FELL OUT of the Top 40 after that performance! From number 35 to 41. It was his last ever Top 40 hit!
He had two comebacks of sorts - in 1989 and 1992, would you believe. Both times missing the Top 40.
The Paul Young song also fell DOWN the chart the following week after that performance and it was his last Top 40 hit of the 80s!

"Eternal Flame - The Best Of The Bangles"?
I think it's more the picture where they look like a really half-hearted drag act.
