We're now in the era when I'd just started Year 11, which wasn't a great time for me, so I won't remember these episodes quite so fondly.

Although I still listened to the charts and bought new music at the time, I don't really have fond memories of 1996 at all so I'm not looking forward to that year of Top of the Pops. 1996 might just be my annus horribilis.

1997 and 1998 were two of my better years, though I'm not nostalgic about the music of those years at all, and Top of the Pops got a boring upgrade around that time.

Oh yes. And I did sort of buy into them at the time to a certain degree. But the nostalgia value for me is pretty much zero compared with earlier 90s and 80s - and 70s - stuff.

I'll be honest I never really liked Shakespeares Sister musically..kinda outtakes that The Cure wouldn't even sniff at......I was more Cruel Summer/Robert De Niro etc... Bannanrama #totp
