In terms of overnight temperatures, it fell to something like -2.5 degrees in Scotland during one July in the 1970s, or something.

For the first time in ages, it's stopped raining.

And the sun is actually out!

It’s warm. Everyone’s happy, life has returned to the streets, the energy has lifted up. I achieved more this morning than I did in the whole of the previous week.

It was a nice day yesterday, the sun was sparkling on the blue water of Belfast Lough.

It is feeling distinctly summery today.
