Currently, in Edinburgh, it’s sunny and the current temperature is 17°C. The humidity is around 72%, making it feel a bit muggy but still quite pleasant overall, and overall, it’s been quite a pleasant day with highs of 20°C!

I'd have been really distressed if I'd done what I was considering and gone there around now. The last time I went I was disappointed by overnight lows of 22 and no breaching of 40 during the day - I felt f***ing freezing.

Isn't is strange how accustomed you become so quickly. I remember after enjoying temps in the late 40's I went up to Spain to meet a friend and was literally shivering on a Costa del Sol beach in 35c temps, wearing a sweater I'd had to buy in H&M as an emergency measure. It was a couple of days before I even felt warm enough outdoors to go out without it.
