At least it's not all harsh and tinny and earholeally discombobulating.

It's like something off the Frozen II soundtrack.

Going a bit Pineapple Symphony by Kraftwerk, or whatever it was called in German.

It is over.
It was competent but suffered from wooden melodies, wooden vocals, wooden arrangements and wooden production.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

Well, that was a bit of a disappointment.
I wasn't expecting much, but compared to ABC it was a truly measly offering.
Crushed by the wheels of industry indeed.

The "Wooh! Wooh!" copied straight from Wham's Bad Boys released just a couple of months earlier was a bit of a poor choice.

Carol Kenyon. She's a backing singer on everything in the 80s and 90s.

- Spoiler:
It's okay. It didn't excite me, though some bits were good enough. It reminded me of both the Human League and ABC at times but without the charm of the former and the sparkle and humour of the latter. Their Tina Turner production the following year is far better. It doesn't help that my copy appears to be just about the quietest CD I own; it must be an early pressing - which is a good thing in that regard.
And I prefer the 1992 Brothers in Rhythm remix of Temptation which gave it a much needed lift.
3/5

BBC Radio 2 probably.
I'm sure it must have been a single.
It was. They performed it on Top of the Pops.
