Who'd've thought Greta would release something on an actual physical, plastic, and therefore polluting format.
Manufactured at RPM Records in Denmark, every step in the production process was carefully considered in order to achieve the most environmentally friendly product possible. The records are made of 100% recycled PVC, and the covers printed on wood free 350 gsm 100% recycled uncoated card stock using plant-based inks. The records are protected by a 100% recycled 250 gsm paper inner sleeve and the cover is sealed with a sticker printed on recycled material. No plastic or shrink wrap will be used in the packaging or production apart from the recycled PVC in the vinyl record itself.

As part of my ongoing house move campaign I just now decided to dismantle my stack of separates, retaining only the amplifier. But on taking hold of the turntable I saw that my 12" of Birdhouse In Your Soul was still on it where I'd left it circa 2008 when I WAV-ised all my vinyl and tapes.
So I had to play it through one more time. And was instantly irritated by the pops and crackles and having to blow fluff off the needle every 2 minutes.
Then I began to wonder why it was on the turntable - I WAV-ised my music in strict order, but that 12" wasn't the last 12" I bought, and it wasn't the last single or LP (or for completeness, EP) I acquired either.
Maybe I missed it out on the great WAVisation and did it after all the others once I realised?

'Merkin record pressing plant Rainbo is shutting, and if you can't make a profit in these tymes… Apparently the presses are going, elsewhere.

I think that's the first time I've posted that image non-sarcastically.

I hear that the vinyl shortage is because they're printing (up to) One Million* copies of the new Adele album for Xmas!

I was brought up to believe that a 45rpm 'album' was actually a 12".

Don't say that on Discogs.com they'd all gang up and use their sock puppets to downvote you onto the CIP for that.
