Oh no. Junifer Whitfield? She was only in the news this morning complaining about the state if modern television. This is now my most saddest Nana type actress passing ever. No disrespect to Irene Handl. Who is she was still alive, would've celebrated her 117th birthday two days ago.

She was always quite an unsung presence in the Carry Ons.
She's especially good in the recently discussed Girls.
And Abroad.
Basically, a very good foil for Kenneth Connor's always slightly mugging performances.

I thought of June Whitfield as "our" Betty White - one of our oldest working actresses, seemingly beloved by everyone, and still cropping up on new TV shows every so often.
Then she suddenly dies.
