The amount of time that's passed since that video was shot is the same as the amount of time between Abbey Road and Wings at the Speed of Sound coming out.

Or from Love Me Do to Abbey Bloat.

I always thought Wings At The Speed of Sound was a live album, for some reason, based on the name I think.
Not quite sure why I'd think being called 'At The Speed of Sound' would make it a live album, thinking about it.
Oh well. Live and Let Die learn.

That's because the year after they released it, they released a live album called Wings Over America from the tour that promoted Wings at the Speed of Sound.
I've just got to Cook of the House! It's not the fact it takes 30 seconds to start, or the singer, bless her little cotton socks, can't. But halfway through, why do I need to hear any more of this? I know exactly which bits will be repeated, how it will end, Why is still going? Why is almost 6 minutes long?... oh hang on, it's only 2 and half minutes?!

Time to Hide, is 'You Keep me Holding on' only plodding and overproduced.
Leaden, tiring, boring.
Next...
No, Next one..
Apparently ' San Ferry Anne' is a clever joke,
Quote :
"Ça fait rien" (pronounced sa fay reeyen), meaning "it's no big deal."
Yeah, but that only works when 'San Ferry Anne' means something in English, as it's just gibberish in English, it's just a phonetic spelling of a french term.
Oh Accordions. next.
A McCartney piano ballad. Nope, I'm out.

Well, that was awful. Like really, really bad.
It's material like this that this that's given Paul McCartney his reputation as a blandie.
Still better than Walls and Bridges, though.

I thought Wings at the Speed of Sound was terrible for decades and then I played it a couple of years ago and discovered I liked every track. I don't know how this happened. It's like it took years and years of it percolating in my subconscious for me to get it.
It's definitely a lifelessly produced album. The live versions of the tracks, from WIngs Over America, are a mile better than the studio versions.
I'm convinced McCartney heard Pilot's From the Album of the Same Name LP, the previous year, and decided to mimic its production sound.
It was not a sound it was wise to mimic.
This is so WIngs at the Speed of Sound that I'm sure that, in another dimension, it is.

In fact, I see From the Album of the Same Name and Wings at the Speed of Sound as a double album.

I'll try again in decades.

Is that gothic house? The synagogue in the bottom right hand corner is not very friendly btw - I went to a wedding there. I prefer St John's Wood Liberal or Westminster Rutland Gate.
Young Paul for me - very beautiful eyes. I don't like him now he looks like a baggy old scrot*m
I've never like Linda's food range. Not a patch on Quorn.

1) I'm not all that familar with the synagogues in the area.
2) There's one (quite posh looking) synagogue much further up Abbey Road, nearer to me*.
3) Be very careful what you say about Macca on this forum (people posting here have been banned for life and then hunted down and murdered with a packet of Frisps laced with cyanide for casting even the most mild of negative aspersions on the lyrics of "The Frog Chorus").
4) Linda McCartney's stuff is awful.
5) Quorn is worse.
6)*I live in St. John's Wood now.
