The day off thread

This thread is for sharing our experiences and opinions regarding occasional days off which you have arranged yourself (as opposed to public holidays on the one hand, or large blocks of holiday like a week on the other).

That being the case, I hereby announce that I have arranged a day off tomorrow. I plan to have a lie in, then do the laundry.

I don't have any days off (other than bank holidays and weekends) planned for at least a month.

I'm on my hols tomorrow.

I woke up with a hangover. That wasn't a very good start.

I haz another day off! And I haven't got a hangover this time.

I'm going to go to the shops - haven't decided whether to go to town, or just to the Co-op - and then do the washing.

I have a day off again! I've got to do lots of chores so I have tomorrow free to meet my friends, who do exist, for tea and cakes.

I say I say I say, have you done your chores Wendi?

What chores?

Ooh thanks, I'll have a large dry white wine please.

I don't know what that 3-68 stuff in my previous post is, the quoting mechanism must have gone haywire.

Anyway, I have a day off today. It's raining steadily, but I'm not planning on going out, so I don't care. I'm going to clean the bath and then watch Big Bang Theory.

You poor thing, did you do something terrible in a past life or something?

I'm having a splendid time. I've got paid a week early too, and stashed the money in my shiny new bank account.

I haven't cleaned the bath yet though

I'm not really a 'top' so it's just as well I cleaned my own bath in the end. Sparkling clean it was.

And I did the week's washing up, and the ironing, and sorted out 4 boxes of cr*p from the loft while watching The Big Bang Theory.

And then I went to bed very sober and virtuous.

Now I'm all ready for 12 days of merriment.
