I happened to be listening to Richard Madeley on Radio 2 earlier and he was doing a quiz with a caller on the phone. The caller told him that he was a big fan of Tina Turner, and that his mum had taken him to see her in concert at Alton Towers when he was just 9 years old in 1996. He claimed that he was Ms. Turner's "youngest fan". I remember when I was her youngest fan.

I bought a Tina cd from a charity shop, for 50c, a few wks ago. I remember seeing it and thinking ''Ooh I'll have that, and it'll give me something to type on the hall of wendigo forum.''
It's the one where she's putting on lipstick and kicking a cat.

I can only think of literally one song that Tina Turner ever wrote - Nutbush City Limits - but I've just discovered a whole page on Wikipedia dedicated to all the songs she has written - and it's way more than just the one!

She hasn't written a song since 1977 though. Other than Nutbush City Limits I think I actually only knowingly know the one other song - "Sexy Ida". Some of the others might be on various Ike & Tina compilations I have but I rarely delve into those.
