I am myself a great believer in white jeans and a Tory boy blazer, which is what's being worn under the camel overcoat. I like camel overcoats, but I've never found one that works for me.

I invested in a dark green velvet military jacket several years ago, with gold braiding and buttons. They seem to be back.



I rather like the red one.

Reminds me of my mother's old dresses. I wish she wasn't such a ruthless thrower outer of old stuff.

I thought it might go nicely with a pair of pale blue jeans I've got, and some tatty old Converse. Maybe with a vest.

Anyway, it was on the page behind, and I'd happily forgotten how nice that jacket was, and how much I wanted it.

The cash I'd tried to spend on it bought lots of fresh fruit for baby orangutans to enjoy at school, so I was told, so that's fine.

Before I die, I hope to spend some time with them while they enjoy the things I've brought personally to their sanctuaries, watching over them as they safely fall asleep stroking their little heads and arms and shoulders, and them waking up to find me still there.



Although, on balance, I'd rather none of that was possible, and they were back flourishing in their rainforest homes with their families and friends.

An iPad, but nevermind. That's the jacket. The only question is to have with or without straps.
