| I suppose this is quite nice, as these things go... I'd ask for the till to be moved out of sight - I think it detracts from the ambience. The rest I like. All set for an exotic fruit platter while we wait for everyone's choice of Deliveroo to arrive and be served. A selection of sorbets to finish. All the cash saved on not having horrible overdone multi-course formal meals spent on champagne and general hard liquor (and a variety of discreet drugs for those who wish to indulge) instead. With this kind of thing, sans bouquet... |

| Having met the groom at the registry office door, and walked in with him, like fully grown adults. Well, that's how I'd do it the second time.
There seems to be a spate of weddings being introduced as 'something to look forward to'. I'm in no doubt they'll all be naff, overdone, entirely unenjoyable affairs with shopping list codes included with the invites, showcasing the extent of the avaricious grasping all are to be subjected to.
Pay for your own f*cking appliances - the hypocrisy of literally wearing a veil for that shyly innocent effect, while scrounging upgraded homewares from everyone who's ever heard of you/knows you're already very well set up/haven't been a virgin for several decades/have never knowingly done anything for anyone.
Costs in addition to the expense of turning up, staying over, pretending to be vegetarian to avoid being served salmon turned into mousse/pig, paying for our own drinks at the bar, being deafened by a tribute act, sitting in the containment zone - aka the table reserved for divorcees, gays, and suicidal spinsters. Etc. |

| The wedding reception setting, in lieu of chucking bouquets around, I'd want that carpet professionally cleaned and cut up to be given to the local poor/recently housed. And all the flowers to be taken down, rearranged where necessary, and donated to nursing homes. |

| For a couple of years now, I've been weighing up having my kitchen redone in the style of Le Louvre Melbourne... Metallic, neon, graffiti, mirrored. Studio/club/salon/industrial hints. I like it a lot. The last time it was decorated, it was themed around an olive wood cheeseboard I bought at a market in Provence. The walls/ceiling are the very particular shade of Provence blue. Olive wood floor to match the board. Because I kill indoor plants, some imitation ones add greenery. My brother suggested that the (very real looking) string of fake onions serving as the chord of the light pull are racist in nature. I'm not entirely sure what possessed me to do any of it. Previously it was all white and spotlit, polished, Perspex, white glass. With a lilac neon sign on the wall saying 'I don't f*cking cook'. Which is true, so the all white worked quite well and I had a very good cleaner at the time, who has since emigrated. |

| I want that wicker unit - that would go well in my hallway. If I had room I'd be trying to find out where they got the dining chairs too. |

| Exterior not interior... I've never been to Palm Springs. If I'd known my trip to California last year might be my final chance, I'd have made the effort to spend a night or two there. |

| I too could have a conservatory kitchen just like that, if the woman directly below would only extend her own to provide me with the floor space. It's absolutely typical of her to say she couldn't afford to even if she wanted to. |

| Interiors of homes in American shows and films from the mid 80s to mid 90s will always spark joy in me I think no matter how smart or decrepit they are depicted. Probably the Millennial version of nostalgia. If I had the cash I'd probably live in something that was like mix between the house in The Addams Family and the apartment from Frasier. - Cosmictanya wrote:
