| I've been loving Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone Fishing. It's droll and silly and wistfully melancholy. Two 787 men contemplating the abyss in waders. I'm so old. Anyway, do any of you? _________________ Disprove the return of a potato (5)

| No. Never heard of it. But gentle and homely tv has its place - I get that from EastEnders.
I also tuned into The Waltons a few weeks ago, expecting some homespun Americana, but it was an episode centred around the people of Walton Mountain finding out about the Holocaust.
The middle Walton son - what an ugly git. He didn't seem to have a chin. Detracted from the moving storyline somewhat. |

| Do they get voted off? My grandmother and I used to enjoy the coach trip programme. We'd have an afternoon gin and watch that. |

| "Deewar E Shab" is a current passion of mine. 'Historical drama following the lives of a group of courtesans and the people around them'. Channel Hum Europe. Well worth pressing the series link button.
It's got great dialogue - 'my tongue is stiff and I feel insulted' forms a key part of a current plot line argument.
"New Tricks" always enjoyable. Anyone? Although I'm an Amanda Redman rather than a Tamzin Outhwaite person. And I've never been fully comfortable with Nicholas Lyndhurst outside the role of Rodney. |

I don't think so. I've only seen bits of it (including tonight) but it always seems to be the five of them. |

| I'll look it out. Lesley Joseph is great and Cleo Rocos is normally good value. |

Nice to see Iggy Pop still getting TV work, but remind me who that is the left? |

| Oh, I was right the second time, it's not a children's/light entertainer, well it is, but... it is more of a washed up 80s pop star. |
