| YEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSS!!!!!!! Sell! Sell! Sell! NOOOOOOOOOOW!! The housing market's gone . My Grandpa's house was on the market for £435,000, but a bidding war over the last few months has meant the current price is scraping half an Amazonian manatee. _________________ Disprove the return of a potato (5)

If I got half that I'd be ecstatic. Despite the sad things you've had to tell us about your Grandpa, it's good to know that he had a high quality residence in which to live. _________________ ' "Haven't got houses." Where do they live then?'

They both quoted me 1% commission for sole agency so really there was no scope for improvement. - Quote :

£490,000. Do you cop for a share of that? And if so, would you like to buy an Edwardian end terrace with a nice long garden, a loft you can stand up in, a fireplace with original floral tiles and a front bedroom with big windows? £1000 discount for NHOTW members. _________________ ' "Haven't got houses." | I was reading my diary for 2006, the day I moved out of my flat where I didn't dare take my car out except from 7-9am every Saturday in case someone blocked my space in the car park. I'd written 'I'm overjoyed to see the back of that sodding car park.'
It's as if the problem followed me here...
I will never again rent or buy any property that doesn't have its own, off-road, legally defensible parking space controlled by me.
If I've got fed up with cars by then, and get rid of mine, prospective properties must have like 5 yellow lines outside, meaning instant death for anyone who even thinks of parking in front of the windows.
Seriously, I'd rather spend the rest of my life booking 4 weeks ahead in Premier Inns and going round to my parents' house once a fortnight to do me laundry. _________________ ' "Haven't got houses." Where do they live then?'

£490,000. Do you cop for a share of that? No, it all goes to my Mum and her two sisters. Absolutely amazing in all truth - £55,000 over the opening guestimate. _________________ Disprove the return of a potato (5)

| Isn't there a mad rush on to avoid the Stamp duty relief ending or some weird house moving tax that does me head in changing soon? |

Yeah, but first time buyers are exempt from stamp duty (tax paid by the buyer) on houses worth under 300k anyway, so I reckon the effect of relief on prices has been exaggerated. I signed the agency contract today and they took photos of the house, including the 'feature fireplace', which now I look at it closely, almost makes me want to stay (I took that photo btw, not the agent) _________________ ' "Haven't got houses." | No stamp duties to be paid - virtual viewings available - 1 bedroom - garden at the back - moments away from Swiss Cottage and Primrose Hill - no stamp duty to be paid!
When you are looking to buy, it can be a challenge to find a place to call home where the standards are also high.
For this reason, we are happy to open you the door to this lovely flat in NW3.
The flat has also been reently refurbished.
At the entrance of this lovely flat, you will be welcomed into a large living room facing the rear garden and catching plenty of light. The kitchen is well designed and offers plenty of storage and space to prepare some delicious meals. The appliances, including the induction hob, are new.
The bedroom is also facing the garden, protecting from any noise from the streets and allowing you to glare at the sky every morning.
The bathroom presents a modern design, thanks to the sleek tiles and modern appliances.
At the back you will find the communal garden that will move you into your own little wood.
Now something about the location…
The flat is located in a converted Victorian House in Fellows Road, NW3.
Within a short walk, you can really reach many locations! Step by step, you can find yourself in Primerose Hill and Regent’s Park, in a few minutes in West Hampstead, where to indulge in a trendy brunch or stroll through the various boutiques.
Finchley Road will be also perfect for your shopping, thanks to the various supermarkets and shops and ethnic stores.
You will also be blessed in terms of transports, walking to Swiss Cottage (Jubilee Line) Finchley Road & Frognal Stations (Metropoline and Overground Lines), or using the many bus routes that stop just next to the flat.
...an actual agency put this out. As it happens I do sometimes 'glare' at the sky, but I don't know that the opportunity to do so is a buyers dream feature. The command to produce 'delicious' meals is obviously from someone who's never tried my cooking. I'm confused by the 'your own little wood' stuff - 'communal' would seem to rule that out. The ability to reach other places 'step by step' must refer to walking, which everyone can do - except those who sadly can't. Then there's the spelling.
I wonder how much the person who wrote that earns in a year? Money for old rope etc. |

| That's a cute fireplace. I'd like one like that in my bedroom. The only time I had a little fireplace in a bedroom was when I rented a room for a month between moves. The friend who had sublet it fell out with me due to returning to find lots of used condoms that had been thrown in there - unbeknownst to me. I just assumed the guy responsible had been disposing of them responsibly and discreetly. |

| Good wad on top there for the Greenford house NJ. I'm sure your ma will give you a little? When travel resumes you should go somewhere you've always dreamed of going, to think happy thoughts for a few weeks.
I don't understand what's going on with the housing market. It seems like stuff is cheaper than it should be, but then I read of bidding wars in the depths of Middlesex. Is it due to very limited availability? |

Ain't that the truth The pictures make it look like the lair of a mad hoarder. And they were taken after 2 months of intensive decluttering. _________________ ' "Haven't got houses." Where do they live then?'
