I went to the chemist today. There was only 1 person queuing outside, and I only had to wait 5 minutes. But as usual one of my items wasn't ready. They said they'd deliver it for me tomorrow. But I'm sceptical.

It hasn't turned up. colbert2

The BBC really needs to do something about the comments people leave under articles. For some reason it attracts generally awful observations, sociopathic opinions, and pub bore level critiques. Those under the current article about charity funding are absolutely hideous.

It's not enough to have a pretence of bloodless impartiality, while presiding over an open platform where evidence free hatred and misinformation is offered by members of the public. That model just isn't working. An ethical stance must be taken, promoted, and if need be, enforced.

Absolutely yes.

It's bad enough waiting in for a delivery at the best of times, but waiting in for a delivery of medicine during a pandemic is truly awful.

However, it finally arrived just 5 minutes ago. I was on the point of getting drunk as a consolation prize.

I never read the comments on anything nowadays. It amuses me to think of those people frantically typing away, their blood pressure rising all the while, and me not reading their effusions.

Terribly sad news here...

We won't get a refund on our £17,000 Val D'Isere ski chalet.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-52206832

The level of forbearance required will simply be too much to ask of some.

In other breaking news, I think I'll just buy the coke for my son as well as meringues for myself. He's beside himself with excitement that his stepmothers IVF has been successful, and obviously can neither see the happy couple or go out to celebrate with his friends.

I can imagine that must be very difficult. For us both - I'll have to hear about it all evening. The last thing I wanted to see as thoughts turn to tonight's dinner was the contents of a 46 year old uterus.

If you smash the meringues up into powder it'll look like coke.

Everyone's happy.

Simples.

I've decided to order in now anyway. I'm looking for somewhere able to send out two breaded fish portions, a large box of chips to share, and a can of coke, at roughly the 8.30/9pm point in the evening.

I see my favourite curry house is offering a great deal, but I'm not in the mood. I'll use them over the next few days to show support and solidarity for a small business.

The source of a mysterious noise outside has been positively identified by the two of us here. It's people clapping and whistling for the NHS.

I was on the phone to my mother discussing the fact that I'd never realised how much more delicious raspberries can be if you freeze them and then let them defrost in the fridge. All my life I've been without that information.

Anyone else gone out to clap or bang some pots or pans? I've done neither yet. I partly feel like it's an empty gesture but don't mind those that do it. That said, the main reason I haven't is that I was asleep the first time, and I've just forgotten about it when it was time to do it subsequently; is it the 2nd or 3rd time?

I have not. It is a sweet gesture. A sweeter one would've been not voting Emma Dent Coad out of office after just two years, after which I presumed most of the neighbourhood was just a bunch of c**ts. Tonight's show therefore took me by complete surprise.

I'm about to ring this fish and chip shop because they are now seven minutes late.

Due to being on the phone to find out what on earth has happened to my delivery, I don't think I heard the news there properly. Apparently Priti Patel has told police officers not to be heavy handed in the application of the law for breaking up parties. Surely that can't be correct?

I'd have thought she'd be licking her lips at the prospect of all the new inmates to be locked up in solitary.

The park at the top of my sons grandparents street was on Channel 4 News (recorded) tonight, so he's on the phone to them. They'll all be having a lovely time talking about their new grandchild to be. I'll just take myself off alone like a spare part to find something else to do.

They're talking about Ebola 2014 on the news now.

I was having a great time in Lisbon, where by telephone I'd accidentally and somewhat vaguely booked into a homeless hostel. On arrival I was too tired to look for anywhere else so we had a great time there in a rather nice, if sparse, room for a few days before we left in a great hurry for a suite in a Renaissance palace after noticing an ant infestation.

Very cheap for a daily blow dry at the local salon before breakfast, chatting away about Ebola and local sights. Gypsy melodies and stolen champagne flowing freely at a local and very attractively derelict mansion. Caipirinhas, weed, live music, and plentiful babysitting to be had on all street corners. I've often seen the exact area featured in recommendations of the greatest global hotspots.

What innocently happy days they were.

Mayor of Birmingham on Newsnight with his ruler out, superfluously pointing out in the presence of the mayor of Manchester, that his authority was second only to London - despite Kirsty Wark having stated precisely that in her question. It was all rather SSC city debates there.

Is it racist to hope that Priti Vac**t accidentally strips herself of citzienships and deports herself to Hellhole Camp, Hellholia?

If it is, then send me there with her, at least I'll have the consolation that I was trying to do the right thing.
