I'm getting a bit sick and tired of the negative tests. Every time, the control line turns up, and nothing else. We've even got these new ones where the drops turn the sheet part of the test an exciting purple colour. You can see it slowly spread, and yet 15 minutes later, there's the control line and nothing else.

I went to St John's Wood for my second injection. Not for the booster though. I was looking forward, three times, to feeling all kinds of terrible that might allow me to beg for some exotic treats from the doc, but each time I've been fine. I wonder if it was the same school as you. The one I went to had everyone going up onto the stage at one side, like prize giving, and then going off the stage down the other side, to sit for the required twenty minutes or whatever it was. I have to say, I find the keenness of the nurses to wipe the seat down as soon as you get up to be rather ill mannered.

I did not know that. Only that they get really offended if you smoke in public, so I always make an effort not to. I did also once end up causing a sword fight across the rooftops during a middle of the night Ramadan drinking session*. 'Mind your own business' works better as a retort in London than in the Middle East.

* I gave my defender a pair of sand coloured Valentino jeans from my very own collection as a thank you. They fitted him like a glove.

A few summers ago I was (retrospectively) surprised to find myself speeding past 100mph when a new Steps song came on the radio. When the DJ followed it up by declaring who it was, I was so embarrassed I was barely touching 60mph by the time the realization had sunk in.

Cases are plummeting just about everywhere.
