Er.. I know this one get's called the best Wings album, so much it's dreary.

But…

That is a very accomplished album which never puts a foot wrong. It's amazing how much better Wings were once a couple of members did a runner. Personally, I still prefer Venus and Mars and Back to the Egg to it because they have a bit more variety to them.

Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

I really don't like lists or rating things as it's so subjective anything more detailed than bad, ok, good, Bowel shatteringly great is a little to much over anyalsis , but…

Well, I suppose Tug of War and Pipes of Peace could be claimed to be Wings albums, despite being released as Paul solo LPs, as they feature the core trio of Paul, Linda and Denny.

I've not heard those two.

I think Wings are underrated, as in they're perceived as being a terrible band and a waste of a genius.



But… As a total, they're err... OK.

well, there's a lot better groups from the 70s I'd rather listed too. Stuff like Status Quo, David Bowie, The Ringo Band, The Sensational Alex Harvey Band, well take your pick really.
