Maybe we should do their first album. It was produced by John Cale and he got them to throw out all their existing songs and dump their usual sound. The result was a total car crash.
Difford found the process of working with their producer challenging: "He came up and said, 'have you ever thought about writin’ about musclemen?' I said, 'That’s never occurred to me.' And he said, 'Well, go away and do it – I wanna see songs like that on the album.'
