Glass bottle milk, 89p a pint, delivered on a Monday and Thursday free of delivery charge. Is that good? Does anyone here have such an arrangement? We had a visit from a dairy boy just now, offering this.

Re: Olden day good times!
In my 'going out all night' days, I used to get off the nightbus in Sloane Street and cut through, because all the shops always had bottles of fresh milk, newspapers, and magazines in the doorways, waiting outside for opening. You could just help yourself.
However, those were commercial premises. I hadn't ever considered arranging deliveries from a dairy. It seems quite a nice idea. I was quite taken aback, so I asked this fresh faced farm lad for a card. I have it on the side while I weigh up the offer.

I think he's misleading you by saying it's 'free of delivery charge' when it's 30p more than you'd pay in a supermarket.
Milk delivery is a thing again though, several of the houses near to my former abode used to have milk delivered. This was still going on when I moved out less than a year ago.

Ahh. I don't really look at the prices in shops, so I wasn't sure whether it was good, bad, or the same.

The first attempt at doing a cover for Abbey Road left a lot to be desired.
