Yesterday and today I've had that odd feeling I get before I'm going to be ill.

Lick the sole of your shoe, preferably after being out and about all day in a big city or the developing world. I didn’t drop a dress size, but I am now a full ten years without a cold. My immune system is sadly excellent, so I never have the excuse of having a cold to get out of anything. I’ve gone out of my way over the years to succumb to a flu, with no joy. I had one in 1998, and I came out of it absolutely glowing but with a touch of attractive fragility, looking like an Auschwitz survivor who’d been in a steam bath for about a week.

I've got a cough, one of those wheezy ones that makes it feel like your back is itchy.

I was ill last night, with achy joints and fever till 2am. After which it went away, and now I just have a cough/cold. I'm cancelling today's proposed car charging cruise.

I feel very odd today. This morning I thought I was getting a migraine, but it's like I skipped the being sick phase and went straight to the sleepy underwater-feeling phase.

I feel all weak and wobbly. But I've just had some minestrone soup, and toast.
