Can't see the woods.
Trees - On the Shore (1970)
Obscureish Psych classic as loved by Record Collector and other assorted similar types.
I think I listened to this a couple of years ago and it was alright. Bit like a heavier, more psychedelic Fairport Convention.
Still artwork to die for:
"Soldiers Three" (traditional) – 1:51
"Murdoch" (Bias Boshell) – 5:10
"Streets of Derry" (traditional) – 7:32
"Sally Free and Easy" (Cyril Tawney) – 10:11
"Fool" (Boshell, David Costa) – 5:21
"Adam's Toon" (A. Della Halle) – 1:10
"Geordie" (traditional) – 5:06
"While the Iron is Hot" (Boshell) – 3:21
"Little Sadie" (traditional) – 3:11
"Polly on the Shore" (traditional) – 6:08

I seem to recall that the lead singer has something of an 'challenging' vocal style.

Or is that another band that always appeared on those Harvest inner sleeves?

It's a Beautiful Day, Flat Baroque and Berserk, Quatermass LPs for goalposts isn't it?
Eleonores Cake that ate her.
The Battered Ornaments.
Childhood nostalgia for albums I never had, how bittersweet.

Micheal Chapman was, I think that was the guy who was in Family.
I quite like Family.

And Harper.
But which one?
I'd suggest Bullinamingvase.

Anyway, the Tree were on CBS.
Although by the cover, you'd guess would Harvest all day long wouldn't you?

I've decided I don't like his 70s ones as much as his 60s one.
Change my mind.
We're not doing Valentine.
How about Lifemask, I've been meaning to listen to that one for like forever…

Side Two is very very long (over 22 minutes long I think).
It's also very repetitive (albeit great).
One of Those Days in England on the other hand is a slimline 18 minutes long and has all different parts.
I reckon the other side has better songs too.
Still, I don't mind really.

HQ is massively overrated.
I think it's his favourite though.

Folkjokeopus has got an 18 minute song about FG3's fav. The Prisoner, there is that of course.
Even if most of the iconography is right over my head.
