ABBA's final and darkest album  saw them exploring brave new directions that, thanks to their break-up, would never be explored beyond this point. It saw a major downturn in their commercial fortunes but how has it stood the test of time?

BTW, I like the album cover a lot.

It reminds me a bit of Rattus Norvegicus.

This makes me hope that ABBA will be taking on a surly post-pub-rock attitude and a sleazy, generally unsavoury turn.

Of course there will be complex harmonies and meticulously crafted, delightful pop melodies, but the overhanging atmosphere will probably be one of heroin addiction, p*ss stained phone boxes and swingeing misanthropy. yes
