I'm not sure I've ever spent more than about £10 in Poundland. I could always buy 25 bags of Haribo Strawberry Softies.

I went in Poundland yesterday, for the first time since the start of the pandemic.
Virtually everything was either £1.50 or £2.

Things were more expensive than they are on at my local shops.

I fear my days of shopping there are over.

Could you not continue shopping there, but only buying half as many things?

Poundland does indeed seem a bit pointless now. It was formerly gr8 to be able to go in and just load your basket up without even looking at prices; now it's pretty much just like any other generic shop.

That's absolutely disgraceful. If I ever shopped there, I'd stop doing so in solidarity with you.

I bought a pack of 3 funnels there a few weeks ago, to make it easier to fill water bottles from oddly-shaped hotel sinks.

I've bought that pack of 3 funnels from Poundland in the past, to fill the mower with petrol. Now I use a battery powered mower so it's a lot easier and more nimble and the funnels are redundant.
