Without the people of the Midlands and their spending money that coastal part of Mid Wales would barely even exist.
Certainly the pubs and amusement arcades anyway.

Oh dear. I thought it was DFL’s the country people didn’t like. I’d suggest the recipient writes over it ‘At least we’re not Londoners so count yourselves lucky’, and attaches it to the front door for all to read. A sort of proactive public service announcement. Midlanders take everything lying down.

Definitely an observation that should be brayed at full volume in those very pubs.
It’s hard to see what harm Brummies could be doing anyway - it’s not as if they’re Scousers, they aren’t going to be having shoot outs on the green green grass. They’re probably all just sitting around singing along to Noddy Holder records and drinking Bovril.

‘Your handwriting is full of anger - post anything like it through my door again and I’ll give you something to be angry about’ is the correct reply to the letter.

Graphically poised anger.
The writer obviously fancies themselves quite the artist.
It's the kind of way I'd write an angry note given the time.
Not the same way of course (it wasn't me, guv').
Arch and thus giving a bit too much away about themselves inadvertently.

I’ve been watching the abdication on live stream. I thought it was very touching.

God, what a monster.
She seems to have a habit of attention seeking in this way…
On 11 September, Pandey filed a complaint against Bombay claiming he had molested, threatened and assaulted her. Bombay was arrested on Tuesday 23 September in Goa, The incident happened in Canacona village in south Goa where Pandey was shooting for a movie.[27][28] However this sparked a controversy as many accused her of scamming and abusing the use of IPC Section 498A.[29]…
…Due to the sudden patch up just a few days after the incident and Bombay's arrest, many claimed and trolled her on social media that the whole incident was a publicity stunt.[32][29]…
…On 5 November 2020, Pandey was arrested in North Goa for filming a nude video on government property.[33][34] The arrest came after the Goa Forward Party filed a complaint and FIR, and stated to the media that Pandey's video was an assault on the women of Goa.[31] On 18 January 2022, she was given protection from arrest by the Supreme Court of India, after being accused of involvement in the major porn film racketing controversy scandal, that involved many Bollywood stars.[35][36]

That's a sneaky trick. Because it's cancer I wouldn't feel good about hoping that he dies.
I wish it had been something else.

I read on the internet that it’s because part of Kates problem prostate was transplanted into him - it’s why they were both in at the same time. Seems like the obvious truth to me.
Anyway, I think it’s rather sad. I have a fondness for Charles. Hopefully he’ll be fine in no time.

I'm still incredibly ambivalent to Charles. I accept having the royal family and wish him well but it's just not the same without the enigmatic Queen.
It also confuses/annoys me when the media calls Camilla "The Queen" - they really need to call her "Queen Camilla" more if they must, which is what I think she'll end up being known as to the general public along with the usual "Camilla".

I think they should be calling her the Queen Consort, which is what Charles agreed with the proper queen while the latter was still alive, but promptly reneged on as soon as she was in the ground.
