| The all-new rival to the 'Bees' thread! Today I replaced the anti-wasp insecticide dispensers in my loft with fresh ones, as I do 3 times a year. Usually it's in March, May and July, but I don't put the first lot up there until the weather gets warm, and as you may remember, March was pretty chilly, so I didn't start till April, and consequently am doing the 2nd batch in June. I hope that's all clear now |

| When I was about 12 or so and I lived at my Mum's (obvs ) we (Mum and I) used to occasionally chuck bits of stale bread out of the kitchen window for the birds... This is an artwork I made that features said window so you can have an idea of how the chucking occurred and why it made sense (the large window allowed us an unfettered view of the beaky little devils pecking away at things that I have since become aware aren't actually very good for their sensitive g*zzards the tasty treets what we left them. Anyway... Oh, I'm tired of typing this now. I'll finish it later. _________________ OK, I'm an old shoe

| I don't even know whether I've got a picture of the artwork. I feel despondent and exhausted now. _________________ OK, I'm an old shoe

| I hid behind the verbena and observed the site this afternoon... there were still wasps coming and going, so I think I'll have to call in the pros. _________________ ' "Haven't got houses." Where do they live then?'

| It took me several powderings to deal with my wasp nest. Persistence may be necessary. _________________ |

| I've been thinking of your wasp saga - but ISTR that nest had only two exits, one into your room of cooking, the other to the outside air. This one has several exits, because when I discovered the nest I was too scared to put the lid back on the heap. It'd take a severe powdering from above, and a severe foam squirting from in front, just to achieve adequacy. |

| I carried out another dawn raid at 0530 - I gave the front hatch a severe foam squirting, and also the top opening. _________________ ' "Haven't got houses." Where do they live then?'

| When I got back from holiday this morning I went straight out into the garden to put the lid back on the compost bin. I knew I wouldn't have the courage to do it if I stopped to think. So I rushed up there, had a cursory scan for wasps, couldn't see more than one at a time, so I plonked that lid in place and clicked it home!
Then I agitated my can of wasps' nest destroyer foam with short, rhythmic strokes before pressing down hard on the top and spooging vast quantities of foamy white foam all round the bin's access hatch.
Than I ran back down the garden to the house as fast as I could go, and slammed the back door and locked it in case the wasps tried to turn the handle. |

| The wasps are now all dead. Or will be within 24 hours apparently. _________________ ' "Haven't got houses." Where do they live then?'
