I know these are 2023 entries, but none of these are going to be setting the charts of fire:
The Celebs (Anne from The Chase, and I believe a couple of TOWIE / Chelsea / Love Island girls plus Melinda Messenger) - "So Delicious". This doesn't have any hook at all.
Homeless Street Angels - "Angels on Earth" (Featuring the blondy guy with the high voice from G4). Obviously I support homeless charities and seen it twice with family members and a close friend, but this song not too bad. It sounds as if it could have been recorded in the very late 90s / early 00s. I think if this was 2001/2 it'd be have probably made the Top 50.
EMF ft Stephen Fry - "Hello people" - Probably a bit more catchier than the other two, but dated and the message is a bit "preachy" for some:

On the subject of failing Christmas charity records, here is one from 2010. "Where Will You Sleep At Christmas?" by Gamu (who was an X-Factor auditionee) and The Aberlour Choir. This one was actually very good, but wasn't a hit.
"Fifty Grand at Christmas" by Paul Holt. Paul was a failed auditionee on the first edition of X-Factor in 2004. He murdered "You're My World" by Cilla Black and argued with Simon Cowell saying he could get a top 10 hit. Cowell bet him fifty grand. This only made the thirties.
And a beautiful cover of "The Living Years" by Mike and the Mechanics, performed by the London Hospice Choir. Sadly this just missed out on the top 100. I did like this one, and supported it.

Finally (I've probably hijacked this thread), "Boys and Girls (Christmas Time Love), a reimagined version of "Boys, Boys, Boys" by Sabrina performed by the Cheeky Girls and some dude from Hollyoaks (whom looks better now, and dated Sam Smith before he went weird.) The video looks like 2000s UK porn almost with the production. I remember singing at the time "Everybody Christmas Time Sex" Made #50.

Strange combination. I skipped through to see what Anne from the Chase did - and she "raps" at 3:04.

Was that during his bearded and toned "man" phase?

Yep so about 2016/7 when he was normal and a decent looking guy. I'd say the Andy guy dodged a bullet!!

Considering this was seen as an 'outside' contender, I don't see how. Strange indeed.
