| Remember the good old 1980s? When things were so uncomplicated? I wish I could go back there again And everything could be the same.

| Do you get a little anxious when a man is in the room? Projecting phallic symbols like they landed on the moon Well, I don't think there's any chance we'll understand each other soon... Guys are gross!
The attitude will change with the direction of the blood And it won't help with intervention - or a lesson from above! Well, they will try to win affection with confessions of their love Guys are gross!
They may over step their bounds When no one's left around When down is up and up is down
We sent them to wars, and hunting Now we send them to stores for something
Oh darling, please, I know I'm just a snarling beast And perhaps we've all grown obsolete
They swear, they spit, they smell like backside torpedo To be eloquent, guys are gross!
So treat them well, cuz they need your help They can barely feed themselves Guys are gross!
Wake up at six and get my daughter to school I get home quick because there's laundry to do I'd dress up like a princess if she wanted me to But all that sick backside torpedo you heard is probably true Is this the dying gasp of a creature who's time has past ...Just lie back, try and relax
Oh darling, please, you know I'm just a snarling beast And perhaps we've all grown obsolete
They curse, they hit, they smell like backside torpedo To put it delicate, guys are gross So treat them well, cuz they can reach high shelves But they can barely feed themselves Guys are gross! _________________ OK, I'm an old shoe

| I know this girl she's not too bright But she's educated in bed all right She's made seduction a work of art A PhD with her legs apart
She's got dreamy eyes, Lolita lips She's got undulating, grundulating, grinding hips She clicks her fingers, guys come to heel Chewed up, spat out, no big deal
Racy Lacey, boudoir beauty It's all that she can do A connoisseur of satin sheets A bed head through and through
Racy Lacey, boudoir beauty The lifestyle suits her fine The girl ain't backward in coming forward She's got this crazy life
And so this girl I've heard it said Can spend up to twenty four hours in bed She gets her suiters to wait in line And she's worn them out by half past nine

| Who put the palm over my blond? Who put all the tar on the morning sand? Who took everything from where it once was And put it where it last was seen?
Fontainebleau, they painted it green Fontainebleau, for the well-to-do At the Fontainebleau
There's a palace in the gravy That's holding on and on and on Even after all the blue-haired ladies And the wheelchairs are gone
I guess the reason I'm so scared of it Is I stayed there once and I almost fit I left before I got out of it People were drownin' in their own
Fontainebleau, was that me? Fontainebleau, well, I guess I'll see Fontainebleau
Fontainebleau, where the surfer works Fontainebleau, 'til the break of day Fontainebleau, 'cause it takes a shark Fontainebleau, to catch a wave at the Fontainebleau _________________ OK, I'm an old shoe

| I'm Don Juan's reckless daughter I came out two days on your tail Those two bald-headed days in November Before the first snow flakes sail.
Out on the vast and subtle plains of mystery A split tongued spirit talks Noble as a nickel chief Striking up an old juke box
And he says: "Snakes along the railroad tracks." He says, "Eagles in jet trails He says, "Coils around feathers and talons on scales... Gravel under the belly plates..." He says, "Wind in the Wings..." He says, "Big bird dragging its tail in the dust... Snake kite flying on a string."
I come from open prairie Given some wisdom and a lot of jive Last night the ghosts of my old ideals Reran on channel five
And it howled so spooky for its eagle soul I nearly broke down and cried But the split tongued spirit just laughed at me He said, "Your serpent cannot be denied."
Our serpents love the whiskey bars They love the romance of the crime But didn't I see a neon sign Fester on your hotel blind And a country road come off the wall And swoop down on the crowd at the bar And put me at the top of your danger list Just for being so much like you are.
You're a coward against the altitude- You're a coward against the flesh- Coward caught between yes and no Reckless on the line this time for yes, yes, yes! Reckless brazen in the play Of your changing traffic lights Coward slinking down the hall To another restless night
As we centre behind the eight ball And as we rock between the sheets As we siphon the coloured language Off the farms and the streets
Here in Good-Old-God-Save-America The home of the brave and the free We are all hopelessly oppressed cowards Of some duality Of restless multiplicity (Oh say can you see)
Restless for streets and honky-tonks Restless for home and routine Restless for country safety and her Restless for the likes of reckless me Restlessness sweeps like fire and rain Over virgin wilderness It prowls like hookers and thieves Through bolt locked tenements Behind my bolt locked door The eagle and the serpent are at war in me The serpent fighting for blind desire The eagle for clarity What strange prizes these battles bring These hectic joys - these weary blues Puffed up and strutting when I think I win Down and shaken when I think I lose.
There are rivets up here in this eagle There are box cars down there on your snake And we are twins of spirit No matter which route home we take Or what we forsake We're going to come up to the eyes of clarity And we'll go down to the beads of guile There is danger and education In living out such a reckless life style I touched you on the central plains It was plane to train my twin It was just plane shadow to train shadow But it felt like skin to skin The spirit talks in spectrums He talks mother earth to father sky Self indulgence to self denial Man to woman Scales to feathers You and I Eagles in the sky You and I Snakes in the grass You and I Crawl and fly You and I O-ho, you and I, you and I, you and I By the dawn’s early light You and I, you and I, you and I, you and I Oh, you and I! _________________ OK, I'm an old shoe

| WTF? What is this? I have no idea what song this is and no idea why I posted it or why I was so emotional about it. The lyrics don't even be seem to be that good. In fact they're snuggle rumpusing backside torpedo. - Nightjar wrote:
- I'm getting all quivery lipped here...
It happened tonight, I had to do it or die It happened tonight, I finally learned how to fly
And so diving and soaring and swirling, I fly like the wind How did I do it? I wouldn't even know where to begin I was playing a solo on my electric guitar And the next thing I know, I'm sailing around through the air
It just happened tonight, I had to do it or die It happened tonight, I finally learned how to fly
I'm flying! I'm flying! I'm flying! What more can I say? It's a thrill beyond words, it completely captures the day And so now I'll go flying as well as go dancing all night I feel like a feather, I feel like a small beam of light
It just happened tonight, I had to do it or die It happened tonight, I finally learned how to fly
I'm flying! I'm flying! I'm flying! I'm flying! I'm flying! I'm flying! I'm flying! I'm flying! I'm flying! I'm flying!
There're also no internet returns on any or all of the lyrics. Was it a drunken joke I was trying to play on everyone that's eventually been played on me? What the fl*p is going on!? _________________ OK, I'm an old shoe
