A friend of mine had a small break near Margate last week and when I had a look on the map I realised that there's the town of Margate and then there's the different town of Ramsgate nearby. I think I've always thought they were the same place whenever anyone mentions them, much like my Audrey Hepburn-Katharine Hepburn embarrassment, who I still think are the same person.

Then there's my more local Solihull and Sutton Coldfield - sometimes when someone talks about Solihull I think they're talking about Sutton Coldfield, but never vice versa!

Oh, and Sweden and Switzerland.

Chapeltown in Sheffield and Chapeltown in Leeds.

People from Yorkshire will start talking about Chapeltown and you're never sure which one they mean.

Not really.

Geography and place names are one of the subjects I'm nails at.

Sutton Coldfield and Hemel Hempstead.

Havering, Haverhill, Hadleigh and Halstead.

When I was at school, I always used to mix up Carlisle and Cardiff.

And when I was really little, I used to mix up Manchester and Mansfield.

And Istanbul and Bolsover.

Boxted and Boxford.

Brixham and Brixton.

But once again it's only one way - when I hear of Brixham I think of Brixton but when I hear of Brixton I think of Brixton.

Brixton and Hackney. I genuinely get them muddled up.

Stafford and Stratford (-upon Avon), when I was a child. The other Stratford didn't exist back then.

Plymouth and Portsmouth.

Maidenhead and Maidstone.
