| It's starting to look like central heating increases humidity, while electric heaters reduce it. _________________ |

| Humidity in this room has now fallen from 65% to 62% in less than 5 minutes. With any luck, I won't have to have the vents open for too long, thus not impacting upon my gas usage. _________________ |

| Warm air can carry more water than cold air.
Or something. _________________ a "couldn't care less, come on life ... amuse me, merchant" |

| One thing I have wondered about is that they put radiators under windows because that's the best place for air flow. Therefore, if you open the air vent above the window, will that increase airflow and, therefore, ultimately make the heating work better? _________________ |

| I've always thought it was more to do with not covering another wall with the radiators. _________________ a "couldn't care less, come on life ... amuse me, merchant" |

| I think the theory is that the window is where the coolest air is and, so, when the warm rising air from the radiator hits the cool descending air near the window, it causes it to circulate around the room better. _________________ |

Gas expenditure now at £1.09. Which means I'm now on target to spend £1.80 in 24 hours. _________________ |

| Gas usage for today is currently on £1.80. With less than an hour of the day to go, that works out at £1.86 over 24 hours. This has been done with the heating on for 24 hours per day, the boiler flow temperature at 35 degrees, all radiators turned on with the their valves set to 19 degrees, and the main house thermostat set to 17 degrees. _________________ |

I was always led to believe it was something like this. |

| None of mine are under the windows. I have original panelled wainscotting with grape and flower mouldings there. The radiators are at the entrances to the rooms, in that dead space behind the doors that has to be kept clear so you can open them. |

The same time today, it's on 83 pence, which works out at £2.15 for 24 hours. _________________ |

| Now I feel like I should get one with a face on it. Are they slim enough to fit through a letter box? _________________ |

| I don't want slim faces slipping sideways through my letter box. _________________ ' "Haven't got houses." Where do they live then?'
