Re: The sleep (and lack of sleep) thread
I slept from 10 to 1.30 last night, and then lay awake for 5 hours before getting one measly hour's further sleep.

Re: The sleep (and lack of sleep) thread
I woke up at half past four, thanks to coughing and sneezing from my cold and didn't get back to sleep again.

I'm going to have an early night, to try and sleep my cold off.
I'm going to get woken again at midnight. By fireworks.

I fell drunkenly into bed at 10, and there were fireworks going off then, but I didn't get woken up at midnight. Or if I did, I've forgotten about it.

Re: The sleep (and lack of sleep) thread
I have to get up at 3.30 tomorrow, so I'm going to bed at 7.30pm.
Accordingly I've just opened the gin.

Re: The sleep (and lack of sleep) thread
I went to bed at 8.30 last night, completely sober, and next thing I knew it was 5.50. And I had exciting dreams all night.

How late does it have to be before it's officially insomniatic?
It's 12:20 am and I'm still awake. Relevant point is it's a Saturday night. None of that qualifies as insomnia surely?

I think it depends what time you went to bed. If it takes me more than an hour to get to sleep, I call that insomnia.
Luckily, I had no such problems last night, I slept 8½ hours and could have done another hour easy if I hadn't been hungry and wanting breakfast.
Re: The sleep (and lack of sleep) thread
3 hours? Sounds feasible.
In that case I don't have a leg to stand on having retired at 11:10pm.
It's just I'm very very tired tonight and thought that might be an important factor. If I'm still awake at 02:10am, I'll let you know.

Re: The sleep (and lack of sleep) thread
I went to bed at 8.40 last night and I was immediately plunged into horrific nightmares. When I at last woke up I thought 'At least it must be nearly morning by now,' and I looked at my watch and it was 10.30pm.

I did however then sleep soundly till 4.40, when I got up and had a delicious omelette.

Re: The sleep (and lack of sleep) thread
I've just had a nap. I dreamt that my living room had the light shades that our living room had when I was little.

Also, I had a drawer full of water and couldn't work out how the water had got there.
