I was thinking last night, I can't have thought of that song since I first hated it in 1986. For 32 years I'd forgotten it existed at all, and yet now I can remember the first 4 lines.

That data has been taking up vital memory space that could have been used for something more useful.

Boris Gardiner appears to be one of the most forgotten, or never even heard of, number one songs of all time. Even as an 80s music fan I don't remember the song from the time and didn't knowingly hear it until about 15 years ago, for ages being the only 80s number one single I didn't know. I was aware of the title though due to having the Guinness Hit Singles book.
