I keep thinking today is Sunday, and planning to put Legend on at 9 o'clock to see what old horror films they're showing in the Vintage Vault tonight.

And then I suddenly realise it's only Wednesday.

I had another blast from the past the other week, where I thought it was 1996. The air, the weather, (even the traffic, the pneumatic drill, the buses disgorging young people in 90’s like fashions). As I walked along I felt a strong sense of 1996. I’ve heard that light takes years to reach earth, so this must account for it - some must occasionally be held back only to make it through years later.

I get that sort of thing sometimes. When the sky is a certain shade of 70s Kodachrome blue, I feel like it's a cold spring morning in 1974 and we are to be taken to look at a church or some Tudor houses in some village somewhere.
