Ooh the nights are drawing in/out

I noticed last week when out in the countryside that a lot of the trees had turned brown already and were dropping their leaves.

I assumed this to be to do with the drought, and dismissed the matter from my mind.

But yesterday, while walking into town along the riverside, I perceived that even the trees right next to the water, half in it in some cases, were also brown and shedding leaves.

Is it the enviropocalypse?

The trees are still fairly healthy-looking around here but, given the weather lately, it does still feel hard to grasp that we're fast approaching the autumn. scared
