Re: Migraines and lesser headaches
I thought I was getting a migraine earlier, but it didn't develop.

I don't know. I've not got a thermometer.Nightjar wrote:Do you have an temperature?

The only advice I can reasonably give is to drink more water.
Like, much more than you really feel you want to.
In my experience, when we think we've adequately rehydrated ourselves we've not come close.
Try and have a nap or a hot bath if you can too.

I'm feeling a bit better now. I think stuffing myself with turkey burgers was just the therapy I needed.

Are you well enough to do a running commentary?

Re: Migraines and lesser headaches
I had a nasty migraine this morning, probably because of all the excitement yesterday.
It's going away now though.

Re: Migraines and lesser headaches
I woke up the other night with the worst migraine I've had in years. It was on both sides, most unusually. Every heartbeat caused a pulse of agony on a half second delay. At one stage I was literally crying in pain. Waves of nausea - although nothing but saliva being produced faster than it could be spat into the kitchen sink.
It's hard to feel that vital feeling of forward momentum. Thinking about the end of the acute phases of the pandemic doesn't help, there's simply more unappealing things waiting. I've really come to resent the UK. I realised last week that I'll have to apply for my new true blue passport, as the current one runs out this summer.
I see no betterness for this country, or for my own life within it. All my sense of potential and possibility has been stripped away. I wouldn't mind so much if it had been gambled - there's something grand at least about the defeat of reckless abandon. This is just squalid but gleeful loss that I wanted no part of to begin with.
I feel trapped here. If I'd wanted to live in this kind of weirdly subdued but tensely wired environment, where I had a greatly narrowed sense of freedom and opportunity, where up is down and black is white, where everybody hates everybody and protestors are beaten while the culprits sneer and jeer, I'd have moved to Indiana or Wisconsin.
