I wouldn't go for "kids", get her proper ones, my Dad bought me a pair of 8x40's, 10x50's and 20x70's at various times of my childhood and I still use them now....I am 63...

I was mildly tempted but I don't think I will. We used to have a pair of binoculars in our house when I was a child and I loved using them back then to look at the views out of the back windows.
