Pepsi or Shirley get to do one of the greatest raps in the history of, err... hip-hop on this.

I think I've had that Pepsi/Shirley rap bit memorised from the day I first saw them do it on TotPs.

It is over.
It was a competent collection but trying far too hard to fit within the confines of its idiom to convince.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

It was a predictable letdown in the end.
The highs were high and the lows weren't even all that low (apart from the pitiful cover of "Love Machine").
Still, it remains a unique and exemplary touchstone of way-more-cleverer-than-it-seemed '80s pop mischief.
God bless you, George.
What a lovely and intelligent and thoughtful and handsome and wonderful man you were.
Were.
