TCP 4U?

TCP. To some it's the miraculous golden liquid that cures all ills, from spots to sore throats to gnat bites.

To others it's nothing but antiseptic lies, claiming to stand for trichlorophenylmethyliodosalicyl but nowadays containing boring old phenol.

To some it's a wicked poisoner, the 70s label urging us to 'slowly slp last teaspoonful of gargle'.

And to yet others it's nothing but Tom Cat's P***.

But where do you stand, NHOTWer?

I've never been sure what TCP is. Looking at Wikipedia gives me the impression it's like Dettol but can be put in your mouth. If so, that sounds like a good thing.

"TCP" is a name from my childhood, something I haven't even thought about for many years. I didn't know one could use it in one's mouth - I associate it with cuts and such. I seem to remember it smells funny.
