Star Wars (first film) & The Empire Strikes Back, or everything else made under the Star Wars Banner?

It is over.
It was completely devoid of redeeming qualities.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everybody else made of it.

Yes, I know the year is at the top of every post, but no, you!

Well, a boring start and middle of that track made way for quite an epic end.

Better than The Last Jedi anyway.

The Empire Strikes Back was released the same year as this.
And - and I'm just guessing here - it had been in production for longer than it took to dream up, record and release this abomination.

Re: Christmas in the Stars: Star Wars Christmas Album (1980)
Well, strip way some of the naff and inane talk, this would have been a very pleasant and nostalgic Christmas instrumental album. The production was very good in parts, but some of the "humour" just made it a bit of a chore at times. I'm no big fan of Star Wars but the characters, their voices - and sounds - are legendary, and it was nice enough to listen to. I'd consider buying it on CD for about 25p.

I've just noticed that Ralph McQuarrie did the painting on the album cover.
