Shangri-La or Shangrenade?
Re: The Shangri Las - Golden Hits of the Shangri-Las (1966)
A really greleven band.
Lots of musical and lyrical drama straight out of pulp fiction.
Impossible to dislike, very very hard to not love.
The lows were still not all that low and still had dynamic, melodramatic lyrics/narratives and the highs were scraping the highest limits of high-concept camp and genius.
