Re: What's going on with your teeth?
I finally managed to purchase a repair kit yesterday, after 7 weeks. (I bought 3 in case they go out of stock again).
Technology has advanced a lot since I last bought one, it's proved a lot more durable so far, staying put for 19 hours and counting.

That repair stayed put for 3 weeks, when I replaced it, and that replacement is starting to wobble after 2½ weeks.
But - the dentists phoned me up today - after coolly dismissing me back in May - and offered me an appointment next week!

It's my appointment today.

The dentist didn't use the scaling wheel thing, she used a hand version, just like when I used to go to the dentist as a kid. And afterwards I was ushered out of a side door so as not to mix with the next patient who was waiting in the waiting room.

I have no idea how I ever operated without my interdental waterjet. After a scary start with blood all over the sink, I've graduated to the higher speed settings and some of the more obscure attachments.

My loose false tooth is still loose. Though over the last 10 months I've developed a pretty good idea of which foods tend to pull it off.

I was just saying I wasn't too keen on my Philips sonicJet-O-matic one, it's alright, but a good old tepe seems to do a better job.

Mine is Binefia. I think it's Portuguese, maybe Brazilian or Italian. It's brilliant. I will never place another tepe or piece of floss into my mouth.
Nightly routine now - a session with the waterjet, a swig of listerine until I can't bear a second more of the minty burning, then onto the electric toothbrush for three minutes with some gritty paste, then a quick going over with a gentle toothpaste, repeat listerine endurance test, and a small glass of water to finish.

Re: What's going on with your teeth?
I'm trying to register with a dentist near my temporary abode, but they've all given me a hard no, even though they're on the official list of dentists who are registering NHS patients.

I've got a check-up at the dentist today. Hopefully she will also re-attach the loose crown previously referred to in this long thread of tooth tribulations and dental discomforts.

Re: What's going on with your teeth?
The dentist fixed my tooth again. And gave me the usual warning that some time soon it will need a proper repair with sticky tape an implant.

I could also opt for a 'partial denture'
Which sounds even more depressing than a full-on false tooth.

Re: What's going on with your teeth?
Once again it's time for a trip to the dentist. I stupidly arranged the appointment for 10am, which means I have to leave at 7am so as to get to Zarnichester before the rush hour, then twiddle my thumbs till the appointment.

It went splendidly, I rode out the rush hour by pottering round the big Sainsburys and purchasing further storage boxes.
The dentist praised the state of my teeth too.

I also have a dentists appointment, mine is next Tuesday at 11AM which means I will have to leave the house at about 10:50AM.
