I won £100 on a premium bond yesterday. That's only the second time I've won a £100 prize from a single bond.

Down 0.1 points to 6.7%.
I was hoping it would be much lower by now.

I was expecting it to be down more, but apparently the BIG BRANES thought it was going to be UP to 7/7.1%

As I’ve said before, the dearth of pear juice on British supermarket shelves is shocking at the best of times but with inflation being as it is, the price of the imported Italian kind has doubled in just about 18 months. I blame Liz Truss in part, and it is a disgrace.

I didn't even know pear juice was a thing you could buy.

Exactly. You have to really look for it. And yet it’s so much nicer than the usual 371 varieties each of orange, apple, cranberry etc.

Re: The cash cash money thread
It’s probably something we should look into as a team. I could do the publicity and quality control, Nightjar the label and bottle design, with Wendi advising on suitable price points outside the London area for mass market success across retail sectors (inc school catering supplies to hook them young), while Fangirl and Butterfield search out British pear orchards and supplies the length and breadth of the isles.
I’m amazed the gap in the market hasn’t been filled. We should go on Dragons Den with my idea.
Shelves are crying out for variety and a natural homegrown novelty to become a quality staple.

I mean oranges aren’t British and you can’t move for orange juice. Pears are native - no air miles - and it has to be imported from Italy or Portugal in small quantities for Sainsbury's and some tasteful independent delis. You can’t even get it in Waitrose. While over there in countries with a taste for it, you can buy it in cans and everyone does, while no kids lunchbox is without a miniature glass bottle of the pale golden liquid.
Deborah would love it. I’d offer her a 20% stake as an opening offer, with a view to happily ending up in the 30% to 33% range, with a reduction to 25% after three years of profit, down to 20% after a further two years, at which point she can stay in or exit her contract.

Re: The cash cash money thread
Nightjar, if you haven’t spent the rebate, can I have this please…

They come in threes. I think I probably need three sets of three for the hall, so unless I’ve miscalculated, you’ll have over £300 in change.

I won £10 on the Thunderbird Thunderball last night.
That's my first win for over 3 months.
