the Awesome Gr8 Vomit thread
I have just thrown up. I think it's the first time I've thrown up since I was 19 but I can't swear to that.

Anyway, here's where we can share our vomit experiences.

But I'm glad you're feeling better Wendi.
By a strange coincidence I had just decided to postpone breakfast for a bit until I'm sure this hangover isn't too serious.

I can't remember the last time I pebbledashed the big white telephone.
I must be getting old.

Re: the Awesome Gr8 Vomit thread
The last time I chucked up was July 2017, when I had a migraine.

Re: the Awesome Gr8 Vomit thread
The worst thing I ever puked up was a stir fry. It was Friday teatime, April 17th 1998, I was scoffing away when I suddenly began to feel dizzy. I'd had loads of noodles and when they came up the sight was so disgusting that it made me throw up even more. Then I crawled into bed and stayed there till 6pm on Sunday, when I got up and found a letter on the mat saying that the DHSS, as was, weren't going to pay the first 3 days of my income support claim. (I had just been made redundant.)
And when I went into the living room, the remains of my Friday tea were still sitting sad and desiccated on their plate, my hastily discarded fork askew on the table next to it.

Did you eat it?

Re: the Awesome Gr8 Vomit thread
No. I went out for a walk in the dark rainy Sunday evening, and felt better.
Telling that story has filled me with a weird nostalgia for the flat I was living in then, my first place of my own, listening to Blood on the Tracks on my CD boom box in the bedroom with its nasty red shag pile carpet and big window with view of the baptist church.

I can't see you wearing laced up boots and corduroys, like some kind of 'c*ckney cowboy' to be honest.

Re: the Awesome Gr8 Vomit thread
Weird how the memory cheats. I always remembered that stir fry story as having taken place after a hard week's work in the 'things can only get better' economy, but of course as I say above, I'd been made redundant 3 weeks previously.
I've been checking the Fangirl Diaries in the hope of finding some bathetic contrast with what I was actually doing that Friday, but of course the sickness overcame me before I could write that day up, I must've done it retrospectively, and it just says:
So the truth of what I was doing before 5.45 that day shall remain forever a mystery. Though judging from the pattern of preceding and following weeks I probably went to Sainsburys in the morning and fiddled around on the computer in the afternoon. And if the stir fry hadn't intervened, I'd've spent the evening watching old eps of The X Files which I'd taped a couple of years earlier.

That's about a year to the day I lent someone called Suzanne a bus fare, and she never gave it back, despite being asked on more than one occasion. I saw her in the autumn of 2012 in M&S Whiteleys branch - we were both reaching for last carton of semi skimmed milk and our eyes locked. Her look of fear at my own icy gaze told me she still remembered too. I got the milk in case you wondered.
