It's got that Stones disco bassline.

It's like when punk bands got bored of 2 minute 3 chord guitar songs...

Re: Electric Six - Fire (2003)
It is over.
I felt they were at their best when being Disco and at their least interesting when being Metal, probably because they seemed to be afraid to expose themselves to ridicule by taking the Metal elements seriously and they, therefore, felt too detached when they needed more conviction.
The final two tracks were the best on the album.

Also, they were too obsessed with Smells Like Teen Spirit.

I was over thinking this the other day, the punks got bored of 3 chords and the truth, we got A Flock of Seagulls.
The metallers never get bored. How I don't know.

Re: Electric Six - Fire (2003)
Anyway, I liked it. But it wasn't the best album Eva. Best bits were Synthesiser and the I want it to last forever bit of Dance Commander.
I also prefer the disco stuff to the trad rock stuff.
