While I enjoyed that commentary, I feel that an important plot point was overlooked

I enjoyed reading that so much that I went back and re-read the Golem film commentary.

I have, on the other hand, found this - Journey to the Center of Time - which appears to be a 1967 remake of it.

I have no memory of ever having watched this movie.
