I've just put a new hard drive into my laptop.

Admittedly, it's not that new. I've had it for ten years but I've barely used it, whereas my normal hard drive has had eight years of continuous use and I think it's on its last legs.

This one does seem to be running noticeably faster and quieter.

Trouble is, it's only got Lunix Mint on it, so I can't use my printer with it.

Does this mean I'm going to have to shell out for a new printer?

Is it a SSD?

Can't you put Windows 7 on it?

Sure you can't try Windows 10? That doesn't need registration, it's just you can't change the wallpaper if you don't.

My laptop's not up to Windows 10. It could barely cope with Windows 7.

As Windows 7 is no longer supported, I assume that any version of that I can get is dubious.

I shall just put the old hard drive back in if I need the printer, until I have the money for a new printer.

Wouldn't you better saving up for a new computer? It's been 10 years since Windows 7 came out. And at least 8 since even the cheapest most cost efficient potato PC that came out that would have any trouble running it.

My replacement NAS hard drive is on it's way!

It was supposed to be between 1:15 and 3:15 then 4:45 then 5:45 and now before 9pm!

But I can now track him on little app thingy!
