| You have to commend that caravan park for having a caravan with an actual wheelchair access ramp in what I'm guessing to be the 70s. |

| Well, I'm assuming that whoever owns (or has some kind of time-share deal with) that 'static home' is disabled, y'know, the car and all that.
Also, they probably had to buy/construct and install it themselves after seeking permission from the owners of the caravan park.

You mean the disabled person - possibly with no arms or legs - had to construct the ramp themselves after carrying all those planks of wood in the little invalid car? I take back what I said about the caravan park.  |

| I'm assuming that the hypothetical tetraplegic has family who hadn't (at that point) abandoned them and who were still prepared to help.

| There were disabled people in the 70s. Either Forton or Keele services used to have a sign 'Facilities for the disabled'.
