I bet he was wearing Mirror Fly glasses. When he played those last BIG chords.

It is over.
I feel that is an album that constantly finds fresh things to do with a very very simple set-up and remains compelling from start to finish, exploiting the total compatibility between singer and guitarist.
Now to look back at the thread and see what everyone else made of it.![Excited](/users/3715/63/33/29/smiles/4075307247.gif)

I have given it 5 stars as, after 9 years of playing it, it still excites me and carries me away to a better place.

Well, that was alright. I've gone ****
It's nice to see the young people of today prove me wrong that Rock's not totally a putrefying corpse of decay.

Well...
Hmm...
Well.
That was hearteningly good.
A strong sense of band-identity and a confident, almost casual, songwriting commitment to it.
Actually, genuinely good.
I will listen to it again.
I can't give a record I've never heard before a better review.

I can remember the days back when no one knew what her face looked like because her hair always covered it.WhatDoesThisButtonDo? wrote:

They're like a good, less drug-ravaged Sheep on Drugs. ![sad yes](/users/3715/63/33/29/smiles/2158945485.gif)

Re: The Kills - Blood Pressures (2011)
it's not so much that they sound like the Stones but that they frequently seem to take the Stones as their starting point and then rework it into something completely different and channel it through the medium of lo-fi. Baby Says being the most obvious example, where, in my opinion, they got Gimme Shelter and turned it into something new and fresh.Nightjar wrote:Wendi, your powers of comparison have failed you this time.
The Stones?

Without the 'dance' influence.

Looks-wise I meant really.
Although Booster will always be about twice as beautiful as anyone, even at her lowest ebb.
