Maybe we should do a Peter Shelley album too, for purposes of contrast.

I'm going to check his albums out, on Wikipedia, right now.

It was Peter Shelley who was the original voice of Alvin Stardust.

I didn't realise it was he who Shane ended up standing-in for.

It turns out that, officially, he never released any albums.

He did, however, produce the first Alvin Stardust album and wrote most of the songs for it, including its singles. Therefore, I think we can count that as a Peter Shelley album.

It's just occurred to me that Alvin Stardust was named after Ziggy Stardust, which is appropriate, as Ziggy Stardust was based on Vince Taylor, and Alvin Stardust's image was basically identical to that of Vince Taylor.

So if Alvin Stardust was merely a persona, how come there was that letter in Viz 30 years ago about serving Alvin Stardust in a petrol station and seeing that his credit card had ALVIN STARDUST on it?

The power of the Alvin Stardust persona was so great that it had the power to bend the minds of bank managers.
