I told them, and potential problem of the car rolling down and damaging my car is averted.

I used to live on a road on a steep hill, and over the years a number of parked cars rolled down the road, including at least one visitor to our house when they hadn't left the car in gear or whatever. That car simply ended up in a hedge a bit further down the road, but it was still quite shocking.

Another car - a big people carrier - opposite our house rolled down their drive and ended up on top of their front wall, partly demolishing it. If that wall hadn't have stopped it the car could have ended up on our front wall.

I lived in a house on a steep hill for 16 years, but experienced no issues with vehicles rolling away during that time.

What mainly used to happen was lorries and buses getting stuck during icy weather.

When I opened the curtains this morning, there was a very small Robin redbreast sitting on the windowsill, peering in, hopping about from side to side. I thought he might want to come in, so I opened the window gently, but he stayed where he was for a while before he flew off.

I have never seen a parked car rolling down a hill either. I thought it was just a bad plot device in cheap films and derivative sitcoms.

My car got serviced as was dropped off by the nice man, it was raining so I thought, ah just leave it.

2 hours later a woman appears at the door saying that my car had rolled up behind hers and was doing so when she moved it, and could I stop it from doing that?

Daft bugger had forgotten to put the handbrake on.

Oh, and my car was damaged once when some numpty forgot to put his hand brake on, I had to have the rear bumper re-sprayed. They paid for it.

Fireworks from about 8pm-midnight yesterday.

Having heard plenty of fireworks before midnight, there were very few after midnight.

The people across the road have just had fast food delivered, for their Sunday dinner I presume

Two boys are playing football in the 'quadrant'.

One of the neighbours across the road has had their car immobilised by a DVLA road tax triangle of shame.

There's bound to be a donimo-effect of repercussions.

There was a badger in my garden, last night. I didn't even know they existed north of Watford.
