| They were kind of like a toned down Parliament. An odd and singular musical aesthetic and a lot of playfulness.

| I love the way they switch between shambling bar band and tight funk outfit.
This perfectly captures the "quiet desperation"* of the lonely barfly.
*It's almost Pink Floyd-esque.
